The speed weekend in classic Kitzbuhel started on Friday with very difficult conditions for the Super-G. Thanks to tremendous work by the organization it was possible to set a Super-G course in the middle part of the Downhill course. This made it possible for Aksel Lund Svindal to be on the top of the podium in Super-G for the first time this season, followed by the leader of the Super-G Cup, Kjetil Jansrud. Matthias Mayer was close behind Jansrud in third position. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde ended as number twelve.

After a colder night the conditions for the Downhill was very good and it turned up to be a very exciting race. Hannes Reichelt (AUT) set the standard with start number one, ended on third place. Aksel Lund Svindal and Kjetil Jansrud came in behind Reichelt and were after the race on eighth and tenth place. The World Champion Beat Feuz (SUI) has been convincing this season and took the lead before Reichelt, and after twenty racers everybody saw Feuz as the winner of the race. But then Thomas Dressen (GER) made a very good round in sunny conditions and was 0,2 seconds before Feuz, a little sensation which shows that the race is not over until it's over. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde ended as number 18.

The women have done two Downhill races in Cortina d'Ampezzo this weekend with Ragnhild Mowinkel on sixth place both days, which is her best results in WC Downhill.
