Svindal "always" on the podium in Downhill

The two greatest Downhill stars so far this season, Beat Feuz (SUI) and Aksel Lund Svindal (NOR), shared the podium with Matthias Mayer (AUT) after an exciting Downhill in Wengen. The lead alternated between Feuz and Svindal through the world's longest Downhill, and at the finish Svindal was 12/100 second behind Feuz.

In beautiful sunny conditions we could see Beat Feuz set the standard starting number one. Svindal varied from green to red to green to red all the way down with start number three. No one of the other racers managed to threaten the finish times of these two. Matthias Mayer was the closest about half a second behind Svindal. The other Attacking Vikings ended as number  9 (Kjetil Jansrud), 17 (Aleksander Aamodt Kilde) and 26 (Adrian Smiseth Sejersted).

In the Alpine Combined on Friday Kjetil Jansrud did a good slalom run and ended as number four, 1/100 second from the podium.
